Single Travelers
We welcome single travelers and offer a limited number of single accommodations on each tour. Because hotel rates are priced by the room, the cost for accommodations occupied by one person is higher than if shared by two people. We will do everything possible to keep single supplements at a reasonable cost. Please note that single rooms in many European hotels may be smaller than those to which you are accustomed.

In what language are your tours conducted?
All of our tours are conducted in English only. Tours or translation in other than English can easily be arranged.

What will our coach be like?
Danube Destinations does not own or operate transportation vehicles; however, we charter the best coaches available. Whenever possible we use modern, air conditioned vehicles with comfortable reclining seats and panoramic windows and other amenities. Coach size may vary based upon the number of tour patrons. In certain countries lavatory equipped motor coaches are not available. If this is the case, frequent stops will be made en route.

Flying to Budapest
A large selection of airlines fly to Hungary. You can fly direct to Budapest with Malev Airlines. Or perhaps you may choose to travel via one of the European gateways and fly on United Airlines, American Airlines, British Airways or KLM.

When is the best time to go?
Budapest has a continental climate and it is claimed to average 2000 hours of sunshine a year, among the highest in Europe. Both spring and autumn are very pleasant in Budapest, with plenty to see and do, and the winter cold doesn't really hit until mid-December when many museums and tourist sights close.
Summer can be hot and sticky but there are numerous festivals taking place throughout the town and an ideal time to make the most of the outdoor cafes. In summer the airfares go up, but you get much longer days with daylight until 10.00 pm in June and July.
